The Tamarisk Country Club, located in the picturesque city of Rancho Mirage, has been providing luxury and serenity to its members for over 70 years. Founded in 1952, it was the second 18-hole private club in the Coachella Valley and has attracted a prestigious membership that includes movie stars, producers, studio executives, and entrepreneurs. The club is surrounded by several neighborhoods, including Tamarisk Heights, Tamarisk Rancho, Tamarisk Gardens, Tamarisk Ridge, Tamarisk View Estates, Tamarisk Estates, and Tamarisk West, all of which feature homes that were designed by renowned architects William Francis Cody, and situated on fee simple land.
The 18-hole par 72 championship golf course was designed by William Bell Sr, and was later remodeled in 1987 by Ron Fream. The course is well-maintained, featuring luxurious features and landscaping, offering stunning views from nearly every hole. This challenging course has hosted many professional golfers over the years and the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic was hosted at Tamarisk every three years. The course features a driving range, pro shop, short game area, and putting green, and offers golf lessons by an on-site professional and two assistant professionals.
